The “No-Makeup” Look Is Still a Look.

And I find that fascinating.

Even when we say:

“I want to look natural.”

There are decisions inside that.

Which parts do we want to keep completely natural?

Which ones do we subtly enhance?

What do we brighten?

What do we define?

What do we leave alone?

Natural beauty isn’t necessarily the absence of makeup.

Sometimes it’s makeup that understands when to stop talking.

That’s something I’ve always loved.

I don’t want to notice the product before I notice the woman.

NOW THINK ABOUT YOUR LIP COLOUR.

There are days you want something almost invisible.

Something close to your natural lips.

There are days you want definition.

There are days you want softness.

And then there are days when you want colour to arrive before you’ve even said hello.

The interesting thing is that your skin didn’t suddenly change.

Your mood did.

Your clothes might have.

Your plans might have.

Your confidence might have.

Maybe that’s why I don’t believe finding your SHADE should only be a technical conversation about complexion and undertone.

Those things matter.

But so does personality.

So does mood.

So does the woman you’re dressing that day.

WHICH VERSION OF YOU IS GETTING READY TODAY?

Try this without thinking too much.

Choose the one you’re drawn to first:

SOFT

You want colour that whispers rather than announces itself.

POWERFUL

You want definition. Structure. Something that makes you stand differently.

EFFORTLESS

You want to look good without looking overly done.

SEDUCTIVE

Not necessarily dramatic. Just something that makes you feel magnetic.

POLISHED

Everything considered. Nothing accidental.

PLAYFUL

You’re not trying to perfect anything. You just want to experiment.

Now ask yourself:

WHICH ONE DO YOU WEAR MOST OFTEN?

And then:

WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU WORE MORE?

Those answers might not be the same.

HERE’S THE QUESTION I REALLY WANT YOU TO ANSWER.

Imagine you’re getting ready tomorrow.

Nobody is going to photograph you.

Nobody is going to post you.

Nobody is going to comment on your appearance.

Nobody whose opinion matters to you is going to see you.

You look in the mirror.

HOW WOULD YOU WANT TO LOOK FOR YOURSELF?

Not younger.

Not prettier.

Not more acceptable.

Just you.

What would you keep?

What would you remove?

What would you finally try?
