SHADE BY SHAHD began with a makeup routine.
It was the routine people kept complimenting me on.
Friends, family and women I met would ask:
“What are you wearing?”
“How did you create that look?”
“What products are behind it?”
At first, I thought they were simply asking about the products. But over time, I realised they were responding to something more personal: the way the colours worked together, the way the makeup enhanced my features without hiding them and the way the finished look still felt like me.
So I started recreating the routine on the women around me.
I tried it on my friends.
I tried it on women I met.
I paid attention to what happened when the same colour was applied to different skin tones, different natural lip colours and different features.
And again and again, it was a win-win situation — not because the same products looked identical on everyone, but because the right percentage, balance and combination of each shade created something that worked with the individual woman wearing it.
That became the foundation of SHADE BY SHAHD.
We are not creating makeup for one face, one complexion or one fixed idea of beauty.
We are creating makeup that works with the person in front of us.
Because the right product is not always the one that looks the same on everyone.
It is the one that responds beautifully to you.
That is why we are so focused on shades.
Your skin has its own tone.
Your lips have their own natural pigmentation.
Your features have their own balance, shape and character.
The percentage of colour, depth, warmth, softness and contrast that works for you may be completely different from what works for someone else.
And that is not a problem.

SHADE BY SHAHD did not begin with the idea of creating a large collection simply because there was space for another beauty brand.
It began with a routine that worked.
A routine people noticed.
A routine I had tested on myself, my friends and women I met in real life.
Every product we create begins with something real:
A colour that is difficult to find.
A shade that looks different depending on the natural pigmentation underneath it.
A formula that looks beautiful but feels uncomfortable.

A combination that makes one woman look incredible but needs to be adjusted for another.
Often, the best ideas begin with observation.
With standing in front of the mirror and thinking:
Why does this work so well on me?
Why does it look different on her?
What percentage of this colour would make it work for her too?

That is where our products begin.

A makeup routine is not made up of separate products that have nothing to do with one another.
The colours affect each other.

One of the most important things I learned while creating my makeup routine was that small changes can make a major difference.

That is why we are so passionate about shades.
